Still waters run deep… and so do Scorpios. They are fiercely passionate about everything in life, from their careers, to their loved ones, and everything else in between! They are either black or white, but never grey. Find a friend in Scorpio, and you have a friend for life!! Their loyalty is legendary, as is their sting if you betray them. So, don’t!

To understand Scorpio, let’s delve a little deeper. They are ruled by the planets Mars and Pluto. Mars, the God of War, is what makes them so competitive, ambitious, and frequently good at sports. Pluto, the God of the Underworld, is what makes them deep, penetrating, and seekers of solving secrets in science and fellow human beings. I told you they were very interesting people!!

Scorpio is a feminine, fixed, water sign. Feminine does not mean the male of the species is effeminate — far from it! I don’t think Bill Gates or Richard Burton could be accused of being ‘effeminate’; feminine just means that they are very emotional and are in touch with their feelings, just like their fellow water natives, Pisces and Cancer. Water signs are surely emotional, compassionate, and highly intuitive. Scorpio can read your mind, your face, and your heart — all in the blink of an eye! Fixed means they can be stubborn. Oh yes, stubborn goes with the Scorpio territory — as does their fierce loyalty!

So how do you handle a Scorpio? Just be yourself, be kind, and be sincere. If they like you, you will know, and very quickly at that. As mentioned, they can sum you up in a second, as their intuition is razor sharp. So just be yourself, and if being yourself doesn’t work, then just move on.

Scorpio energy works harmoniously with fellow water signs, Pisces and Cancer. The earthiness of the earth signs, Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn, is also a great stabilizing factor for them. They need a solid partner in life who helps them to come out of themselves, and one who is emotionally stable, and equally loyal.

As a sensitive water sign, Scorpio needs to express that deep creative side. No surprise to note that the legendary artist Pablo Picasso was a Scorpio. Deep, passionate and magnetic. Sports are another way for the Scorpio to release all that pent-up energy inside. They must learn to release the feelings within them, otherwise there is a danger things could fester up. So to you my Scorpio friend, when you find life or fellow humans let you down, release it to the Universe — either through journalling, sports, or some other creative process.

Scorpios ooze sexuality. They can’t help it!! It drips from them like gold dust. Drake, Leonardo DiCaprio, Matthew McConaughey, Richard Burton… you get the picture? But they also have a really funny side too!! Julia Roberts can be a great comic, Whoopi Goldberg, Goldie Hawn, Emma Stone, and Anne Hathaway are classic examples of what I mean.

Scorpios have so much power at their disposal, which is why many are attracted to the world of politics. Hilary Clinton, President Biden, and Condoleezza Rice being a few examples.

The first thing that comes to mind is their smile!! The Libra smile is legendary. When they smile, it’s like a glorious ray of sunshine on a rainy day. The heavens open up in joyful rapture… When that smile appears, how can you say No? I mean, c’mon, their charm is their greatest weapon of mass seduction. This sign OOZES charm, wit, sexiness, gorgeousness, beauty, and all that is pleasant in our world. Don’t try to beat them in an argument!! They will win — hands down!!

Venus is the ruling planet of Libra. They share that rulership with Taurus. So when you think Venus, think beauty, elegance, harmony, fairness, justice, and charm. God created Libra to bring balance, beauty, harmony, and justice to our world. That is why they are known as ‘The Diplomat of the Zodiac’.

Libra is a cardinal, masculine, air, sign. Cardinal means they are the go-getters in the zodiac. The four Cardinal signs are Aries, Libra, Cancer, and Capricorn. WHAT I LOVE ABOUT VIRGOS!

I love pretty much everything about Virgos! Even the fusspot, perfectionistic, worry wart, analytical, workaholic, obsessively tidy side. I mean, that’s how they have become so successful. Go figure…

We have only 10 days left in the Virgo Season. I want to SING THEIR PRAISES TO THE WORLD!! Yes, I want to shout it aloud, because one thing is for sure, this modest sign will never do it for themselves! They are too busy doing, working, being of service to others. Yes, they do stuff for others. Lots! Their elderly parents, children, spouses, pets, committees, work colleagues, WORK, did I mention work? Is it any wonder then they are known as The Good Samaritan of the Zodiac!

Virgo is my polar opposite sign, so I have HUGE respect for this sign. They look at life through a microscopic lens, while Pisces, their polar opposite, looks at life through a telescopic lens. The danger of the microscopic lens is sometimes they cannot see the forest for the trees. And of course the danger of the telescopic lens is carelessness; little details can get overlooked. Loose lips can sink ships!

To-Do Checklist during Virgo Season (August 22nd to September 22nd):

This is the time to tidy up your act, physically, mentally, domestically, spiritually, professionally and every other area you can think of!! Whatever no longer sparks joy has to GO!!

My friends, I walk the talk! I have done great tidying up around my home space during the past few weeks of the Virgo Season. I’ve been looking at all areas of my life with an analytical eye, even friendships that no longer spark joy. Everything – dust busting, donating unwanted clothing, doors and trims painted, etc. I’ve been a very busy bee!! My Virgo mother in Heaven would be proud of me! Not quite there yet, but as of today, we have ten days left!!

So, get busy my friends!

NEW MOON, NEW BEGINNINGS…

Each month, the Universe gives us the gift of a new moon and the chance to begin our lives all over again. How wonderful is that!! I’m not too excited at the prospect of facing into another Covid winter, and all the inevitable restrictions, so I feel I need to prepare myself well for it. I shall do everything in my power to arm myself, both mentally and physically. And I’d highly recommend you do the same.

With the help of a few age-old rituals, I’m going to prepare well for this new moon in Virgo which arrives today, Monday September 6th. Here’s a few suggestions for how you too can prepare:

Set Your Intentions! MANIFEST!!

*Journal them and really visualize them coming true. VISUALIZE!! 

*Wear new clothes (I’ve kept them to wear today!)

*Light a candle to ignite new energy. I use a fall scented one!

*Carry some Virgo crystals. I use Lapis Lazuli and will carry them close to my heart.

*Have your home spick and span and organized.

*Perform some random acts of kindness over the next few days and weeks.

Really get into your intentions. BELIEVE you deserve them. Visualize it happening for you and why you deserve them.

Because the moon is in Virgo, I will be focusing on my health and organization. It’s a sign that is very disciplined and orderly. I want to take on board some of that discipline and orderliness. But you may have other areas you wish to improve on.

Whatever it is you are wishing for on this new moon, put your heart and soul into it. Believe you deserve it, offer thanks and gratitude to the Universe, do some kind acts to build up good karma brownies and watch what will enfold…
