Welcome new friends and old!\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>I’m glad you called in for a visit.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I began this blog after becoming an empty nester. As an Irish emigrant living in Canada, it’s a great way to reach out and connect. Ageing\u00a0requires a generous amount of humour and it’s an\u00a0adventure\u00a0that is better shared. Boomerbabe Life has given me a very happy boost and I hope it will do the same for you! <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

I have cobbled together little bits of everything in life that keeps me buoyant and happy: astrology (wisdom), fashion (fun), food (pleasure), travel (excitement), etc. Together, we can feast on the joy of living, inspire each other, and grow old gratefully together. There is a time for everything, but no time like the present!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Growing up in the West of Ireland, I’ve always had a strong interest in the mystical and spiritual side of life. Astrology has always fascinated me. I studied it formally through the Irish Astrological Association and the British Faculty of Astrological Science and obtained my Astrological degree in 1988. My father, being such a heart-centred cook, instilled in me a passion for food and cooking. Love is the secret ingredient! <\/strong>My mother and aunties were all glamorous women who loved to dress up. It is from these style icons I developed my love for fashion.\u00a0<\/strong>Travel, writing, and volunteering with the homeless also feed my soul.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

I believe energy begets energy. The more you do, the more you can do. Keep moving, drink your water, breathe in when you are stressed, start the day with 10 mins. of prayer, meditation, and gratitude. Add at least 10 minutes of deep belly laughter to your to-do list! Develop your Joie de Vivre and Optimism like you would a muscle, and before long,\u00a0it becomes second nature! Isn’t it better to be ‘over the hill’ than under it?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
